Speedmaster Michael Schumacher The Legend - Real?

My husband passed and I'm going through his watches. I found a Michael Schumacher Speedmaster. It works and looks like the pictures on this site but the number is 0000/6000. Some of the red is faded too. I'm guessing it's a fake. Am I correct?

Sorry for your husband but 0000/6000 are generally fake or your husband had good connections at Omega at one time but irrealistic .

Condolences for your loss. It is, unfortunately, a fake/counterfeit watch. Here is a photo of the real watch for comparison purposes.

Edit: this is the wrong reference. The correct reference is 3559.32.00, which I shared pics of below.

Nothing apart from the unusual LE number stands out as dodgy there. I’d get the back opened and see if there is a legit 3303 movement inside. I’m voting genuine at this stage too. The fact the dial doesn’t exactly match the pics shown above doesn’t concern me since there were literally dozens of these LEs.

I vote fake as the Tachymetre doesn't have an accent over the E and the endlinks are plain without a stamped model number

Here is mine.

You’re right, I chose the wrong watch to share. I’m still voting fake. Here is the correct genuine watch. The OP’s watch looks like a reduced but slightly too goofy looking even for a reduced. I know Schumacher had reduced LE’s but I don’t recall ever seeing one like this.

Big difference in the OP’s caseback and this one.

Still limited to 6000 not 600 as the OP’s.
But in the OP's text and the image of the case back it is stating 6000 or am I confused about what you 600 is refering to?

Just an oversight on my end. I have removed from my post.

Its not a reduced model, its a Broad Arrow. That is why I said you need to open it and check for a legit 3303 inside. The case number should be of the order of 178.0022 or similar.

Serial number seems to be 1 digit short.
The leading 7 is obscured by the end link would be my guess. The legit Broad Arrows have 77/78m serials so this tallies. If it is a fake, then I'd love to see what is inside. I'm still saying legit though there are certainly concerns there it is fair to say. The bezel does look different to other Broad Arrows and the Speedmaster text on the clasp looks off, the m is slightly wonky. The more I look the less I like but there is only one way to be sure...

Hmm good point. Well were it a Reduced it would have no date field and out of line pushers. I guess that settles it then since it can't be a 3303 with the wrong spacing.

Yea definitely fake, the subdial spacing and date positioning is very off among other things.

The OP is in a good position to have a good idea whether this watch is real or a fake. Was her late husband really into the hobby and who actually bought real watches, or was he one of those guys who regularly bought cheap, Canal St knockoffs? I suspect he was one who bought cheap copies, and she knows his habits.

If it was real, yes...

I fell for this a bit and as a result am embarrassed. What is worse is that I own 2 broad arrows. I think I’m getting old…
