Yes, It looks like it might be a replacement movement. Will this effect the price I I wanted to sell? I'm trying to add a some photos. Sorry if they're slightly out of focus.

The R stands for replacement . It has been replaced at some time in it's history .

Likely it's just a replacement rotor, which is better than the old worn-out or rusty one it replaced. Price is probably not far off from the sold ones on ebay in similar condition.

Unlikely that the entire movement was replaced. The cal 1040 is kind of an oddball in that the serial number was on the winding rotor, which is a replacement part. If the bearing goes bad the entire rotor is replaced losing the original serial number.

Beat me to it.

Thank you to all for getting back to me. I read somewhere my watch might be 1045 cal, and the serial number might not actually be omn the rotor but somewhere else on the movement. Anyone advise on this?

Not cal. 1045. It says 1040 below the balance wheel right there.
