I was gifted a vintage mark ii but am not a fan of the case and really want a moonwatch .

Is putting the 861 plus mark ii dial and hands in a moonwatch case a bad idea? Assuming I keep the original case set.

Could be done but won't look any good? Better to sell and buy another watch for the money. It's not just a and easy swap either? You need to swap movement holder.

I agree with Rogart, it's better to sell the Mark II and buy the watch you really want. I personally love the Mark II (Racing dial edition); it's sturdy, it's stylish, it's a bit chunky, and it just keeps running. But the 'normal' (black dial) edition is a little less interesting in my opinion.

It's the non racing dial version. Plain black dial

Have to discuss with the gifter before selling

Is the best place for an Australian to sell on this forum or fleabay
