Hi all,

Recently, I have come to warm to a Speedmaster Mark II which I am wearing quite a bit more than I have ever anticipated.

I also acquired a lot of parts, including an assortment of hesalites I wasn't planning on using. I bought the parts purely for a hand set I could use to complete another (regular) Pre-moon.

That said, the parts set has brought me an opportunity to compare hesalites for Mark II's, which happen to have different font (sizes). For lack of a Mark II MWO; can anyone guide me as to which hesalite would be correct for a 31xxxxxx serial Mark II?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe you can start with an actual replacement glass:

Part Nr.: Omega TN5146

And a picture of my MKII S/N: 32xxxxx looks similar to the upper glass on your picture.

I found that there are at least many different styles:

1) this is the glass of my mark II

2) this one has different font (look at the 1), and I observed it in some examples. Not 100% sure it was originally done for Mark II

3) this one is an original Omega spare

4) this is a non OMEGA manufctured spare that can be fund on ebay

Another one to be considered, this one has a narrow in the "tachymetre" writing. It appears also in the periodo ads, so I believe it is the correct one.

Quite a few different options there! I'll look into mine with a loupe in the next few days and report back on the variants I currently own. (One mounted onto my Mk II, the other that came as a spare.)

Thanks, @flqt-9000 !

Well, that's taken a while; after observing closely, I believe the following is the case:

- The Hesalite currently on my watch is a later replacement which comes most closely to the non-OEM one mentioned by @flqt-9000
- The other - separate - Hesalite is similar to @Wuza72 's and is more likely an original.

At a next service, I will probably swap the Hesalite out to get as close as possible to what is probably original. These Mark II's are comparatively difficult to assess without the body of knowledge MWO and websites like Speedmaster101 provide. Thanks for your help.
