    Hi guys,

I'm considering getting the said watch. Are there issues / concerns about this watch though? A friend of mine told me to stay away from it as it has plastic components and that it easily breaks. Any comments? Thanks!

Plastic part has been hotly debated many times here and elsewhere and I myself would not let that bother me.

They are a big watch on the wrist.

    Get buying

I've got one with the same movement, hasn't been an issue for me. that said, i do pick up parts as i find them just in case, but I do that for other movements too.

    as Standy says, get buying!

one thing with the Mark 4.5, try to get one where the watch head comes out of the case. This was a feature on a few (Speedmaster 125 and Mark 4.5 i think) and it's pretty cool.

I'd recommend the usual wear parts, crystal, crown, winding stem, pushers, gaskets. I understand that one of the parts that is prone to breaking is the date support, part # 1045-1527. Not the easiest thing to find, but they are out there. It might even be cheaper / better to pick up a beater as a spare movement.
