I have researched for an hour or more and I cannot come up with another instance of this dial anywhere.

I'm not asserting its entirely fake or a rep however the seller is saying its 100% original minus the strap. I'm having a hard time believing him especially based off some of his recent feedback.

Of course we know of the 1994(?) Platinum edition with the silver dial. That is very close, but the indicies are not the same. Heres the link, what do you guys think?

I've seen that dial before but I cant say if it came on that particular vintage of Speedmaster. The serial number of the movement puts it to early 70's but the case looks too good to be that old. I would assume its a put together Speedmaster, nothing wrong with that as long as you are happy with that aspect of it.

My own white faced Speedmaster is a put together watch using MkII Speedmaster movement, NOS Italian LE dial and NOS Speedmaster case, although mine cost about $2,000 to put together include the service

Looks like one that styggpyggeno1 posted just the other day. But also a franken.

Those watches look fantastic, franken or not they are beautiful!!

The first watch has the same dial. Can you put a link to that thread?

The second has different indicies, and says professional on it. I found many examples of that dial.

I beg to differ - (not the franken bit). The dial in mine has nothing in common with the others shown.

I agree, the indicies are entirely different. Also it doesn't say professional below speedmaster on the dial. There are proabaly even more differences.

Not anymore - I bought it from him and put the original dial, hands, and bezel back on it...

It looks like a 32M serial no. While there were some special edition white dials in the 90's they didn't have 1969-71 movements in them !

Well I was the one the initially serviced it and put the grey dial, black hands, and polished bezel on...

I have done quite a lot of work for Dave actually...he is one of the few "local" clients I have.

    Cheers, Al
