Dear Readers,

my name is Peter, and I'm a beginning Collector of Omega Speedmaster watches. I was brought into this wonderful Hobby by my Father and grandfather, who are both Collectors. Last year I got an old Omega Speedmaster LCD, Reference 186.0004 gifted by my Grandfather. Just by the look of the watch, I could tell that it was a once beloved watch of his, and I feel extremely honored to be able to carry on the legacy of this beautiful watch. Sadly, the Bezel of the watch got lost in time. Furthermore Omega does not Produce this Part any more. But as chance will have it, a Friend of mine is a talented cutler with his own Workshop who can easily produce and paint metal rings in any desired dimensions.
And that’s exactly what my request to you is. Could you please, if you know, give me the exact Dimensions of the Bezel? It would be wonderful to see the Watch (in a way) as it once was.

Thank you in advance,
Peter

there is furthermore an interesting inscription on the back of the watch. Does anybody know if this was made by omega or by a previous owner? it is right underneath the omega Logo and very tiny.

Just to clarify, is the bezel missing, or just an insert? If it's an insert, I'd suggest just measuring the opening accurately, since I don't know how anyone could measure their own insert as accurately as you could measure the opening.

It is the insert which also doubles as the bezel, it has the “Chronograph” printing on it.
