Are you sure it is real? The font looks off for a DNN

 

I would guess mid 90,s. On reduced models.

Reduced or 1991-1995, depending on the size

 

Big size... so not Reduced but Moonwatch.

I always thought they were from 70's-90's...Fratello could have had a error in their write up.

The first style of DNN ran from 1970-1991, then this one from 91-95, and the modern dot-under-70 from 95-present.

The one in the (four-year-old, pre-Speedmaster madness) Fratello article is the 91-95 version.
