    8k (not bananas, $s).

    Edit : excluding premium.
Edit Edit : that would be 16k bananas (or 2.98 tons(6456 lb)), including premium...

And a nice bezel, too. CHF 8100 hammer.

They claim "Hands original". What about chrono second? Is a flat tail on a CB possibly original?

No I don't think so. They first appeared in the later part of production of the 145.012 reference. ::confused2::

105.012-66 CB should be have a 'spear' chrono hand and a 24 tooth crown.

I think the hands look like early, tritium, service replacements. Same applies to the 32 tooth crown. As mentioned above the good news is the original low pushers with fat tubes. (Nothing worse than a 105.012 with tall, weedy service pushers.)

The dial, pushers, and Dot over 90 bezel look good and the CB facet lines are well defined. I would have thought that, for anyone specifically looking for a 105.012-66CB, those defined, case lines have to be a major factor that could push the price of this one up a bit.

Has AQ straightened out its legal problems or this is a different entity from the AQ USA that was involved in the mafia memorabilia business?

    Different business.

Equally questionable business owners and business practices.

Well “fakkk me ole boots!”... you sound like a veteran Speedy collector extraordinaire, not some dude who inherited a single rare and valuable timepiece.

I used Antiquorum a few years ago for an auction in NYC and Geneva.....never again. My lots sold and then they didn't pay me according to the contract. Delay, delay, delay...finally had to get outside help to pry the money out of them. There are better auction houses. Antiquorum was good 25 years ago but things went bad over the years.

An old strategy .. low estimate = high interest.

We would not be discussing the watch here if the est was realistic :)

You underestimate OF. Pretty much any vintage speedy up for auction somewhere in the world gets vetted here.

Does anyone know how much this one actually has gone for? Apart from the fact that I am quite curious, it would be nice to add to this thread to make it more interesting for future consultation too. Thanks in advance!
