Hi This one recently surfaced again from a long period in the safe....and got me thinking about preparing it for pastures new.... It's just such a great original example of a st145022-69....lovely step dial just turning towards chocolate , cracking handset and those profiles really are sharp to the touch plus original crown & pushers and bezel - oh , and then a complete full length 1039 BCT & 516 endlinks I've spoken with my preferred Watchmaker , Omega UK's vintage restoration specialist - Swiss Time Services with a view to taking one of the following routes: 1) Full Service plus sympathetic case & BCT refinish 2) Full Service & clean , but defer the case & BCT refinish which can be called on at any point within the 2yr warranty period - the only issue is that STS cannot guarantee the water resistance if I retain the original crown etc etc.... I think in the case of this Speedmaster I prefer option 2) which gives me the benefit of keeping the original look , wear & tear and the potential to offer a lucky new owner the option to keep it as is or have it refinished at no cost - they choose....nice ! So what do you think ? Best - Neil
