have an 861 speedmaster, hands are shot, so am replacing them. Found a few sets in the parts bin, but honestly having trouble selecting as i'm really not sure what to look for.

In the pic of all three

* an old otto frei set, though chrono hand tip broke off years ago (loose in the plastic tin)

* another set, unsure its history (in the individual blowmold case)

* an aftermarket set (white background bin)

Any experts help me figure out what best fits a 145.022 speedy? Much appreciated!

You’re going to need to show pictures of your watch and be more specific about its age as 145.022 covers more than 20 years.

What are the hands - all luminova?

not a tritium dial (dial is service dial, new to the watch, original dial and hands were trashed)

Did hands change that much over those 20 years? figured they'd have changed early on, and when they did major revisions, but didn't expect 90's era to be that much change beyond switchover to luminova vs tritium.

Well you’re not really giving us a lot to go on. We still don’t know the age of your watch or if any of your hands are tritium.

Given you have a service dial anyway, and presuming all the hands are luminova, go with the genuine, non broken set. What would be the argument for going with the fakes or broken hands?

The argument/question would be, as they're all luminova (apologies for not mentioning), if the broken hand one was better fit, excepting the chrono hand, move chrono hand over from one of the other sets. Sorry, I thought that'd be obvious!

Just because I don't see any difference between the hands (not even the aftermarket), doesnt mean that folks that are experts wouldnt be able to point out some difference i'm unaware of what to look for,

(I don't believe otto frei has sold tritium hands in the last 20+ years, only service hands (could be wrong on that), so also thought that was probably implied.)

but sounds like the 2 gen sets are the same, thats all i was really looking for, thanks.

Didn't want any more unsolicited asks to purchase. Sorry. If I wanted my data harvested for marketing, I'd go to Facebook 😀

Thread didn't seem to be of any value, so mods, feel free to delete

Realize not everyone here is in the same timezone, or even reads the threads within 24 hours of posting.

This site is not eBay, and I would hate to have to start locally caching interesting photographs that might be useful years from now.

As it is the broken links in the first post look horrible. Especially given the new search features.

As for data mining, everything is mined so that just is a rude, annoying attitude. I do not have a facebook profile, but FB keeps putting tracking cookies on sites I visit. The have a profile on me and eveyone else, even without an account.
