Hi Al. Sorry for the late reply, I have been out on the town with my Mrs.
My crowns are 069st45009. Boley also lists these crowns for the 2914, but I guess you cannot argue with the Omega extranet, these crowns would look a bit too big on a 2777, I think 069st45008 would look more appropriate size wise on the 2777 although 99% of the 2777 I have seen do not have the Omega logo on the crown.
069ST45009 are the same size as the old speedmaster crowns too (3.89 high and 6.7mm wide) 069ST45008 crowns are listed on cousins watch parts for the case 2777 (3.20mm high and 6.20mm wide)
    My crowns. (069st45009)

    Hi Sulaco!
    Sorry about that.
How can I make the listing clearer? Could you tell me which part is not clear and I will amend the listing. Please don't say all of it! ;-)
    Thanks Mick

    That is a good question.
I have fitted one of these crowns to the Seamaster 300 165.024 with no problems however I supplied a customer with one and he said it didn't fit.
    Thanks Mick.

Its probably just that the wording where it says like made to fit the calibre 321 but also authentic makes it sound like its a fake part that's being made in china as that happens to be what those sellers have a habit of saying.

If you explain that you start with genuine Omega parts for a slightly different model and make modifications to fit the Calibre 321 people would realise its a mod to genuine parts, not a sweatshop product. That's why I started the thread, because I wasn't really sure either way.

Indeed - it was part of the contracts not to have the logo on the crown (I think I've even seen the paperwork for it posted on another site showing that crowns were not to have the logo), however that was not the case for civilian versions.

    Cheers, Al

    Hi Michael,
As Dsio quoted it was quite unclear for me if we were talking about a genuine or aftermarket part, but that is solved right now ;)

Hi sulaco, I have amended the listing to describe the part a bit better.
    Thanks for the advice.
    Cheers Mick

I'm in the "planning" stage of servicing my 105.012-65 Speedie. It still has the vintage crown. I'm curious how many here would spend the money to do this crown conversion if their watch already had the old crown. How important is water resistance when servicing a vintage Speedmaster? I have no plans to ever approach water (nor the moon) with this watch, so of course I'm answering my own question, but I'm still curious what others think or would do. Thanks.

I wouldn't worry too much if you already have a vintage crown, the pushers likely don't seal worth a damn either so you'll just have to assume the watch is not waterproof period.
