·There, fixed it for you. Most funny thing I saw in the collecting world was a set of vintage Leica M (body + lenses) in factory packaging, still sealed. Meaning that to see the damn things you had to put them on a xray machine (also to check that you did not get sold a brick in expensive packaging). Of course, opening the boxes = losing 10k or so.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while ,Been busy rebuilding following the robbery :-(
Regarding the watch box sale I am happy to confirm that the sale was legit with no inside bidding and the box is now in the USA ,as you have already commented like you I dont control the prices items sell for and it really is just market forces at play ,I am sure we have all sold things in the past that have surprised us at what they sell for now .
Only last year I sold two silver snoopy's at £13,000 each at the time the most achieved and now they are seen at £20,000
What I do know is that all things Speedy related are becoming harder to get and the world is a small place now so with supply drying up and demand seemingly insatiable inevitably prices will stay buoyant ,which may not be the news some hope for but it remains the reality .
I will be putting up some other moon landing ephemera ect soon so lets see what else gives us cause for discussion.
