Been salivating over this and finally tried it on a few weeks back at my local Omega boutique.

In short, it's an overly cool watch.

    Tried on Steel/Steel and Leather/Steel.

    and
    311.30.44.51.01.002

The benchmark of a tool watch and the cornerstone of what should form part of a watch collection has been taken to the next level.

The date and hour-hand-jump is sweeeeet.

But goodness it is thick! It's like a gigantic macaroon.

Living in a cold and dark place where 2/3 layers of clothing is required for most parts of the year makes this a very impractical watch for me.

Shame, as I had really looked forward to adding it to the collection.

But I did end up getting something Omega, will do an incoming later.

Few snaps of this fine timepiece...

I like everything about that watch - two registers, date at 6, twisted lugs, slight pie panning of the dial - until you get to the size. :(

It would have been a fantastic daily driver.

The hour-jump really got my blood pressure going. Very handy.

Then I realised gives its size I would only be able to wear it in the summer here in England, so about 2/3 days a year.

It is a bit chunky though, isn't it?

Perhaps for a traditional dress watch but definitely not for a sports watch. A comparison between the Speedy 9300 and the 3570

    London

    Shirt with cuffs
    Suit jacket
    Coat

Of course I go hardcore most of the time with no coat, but it's still a b!tch to fit under the cuffs! My Hesalite was the right decision.

If I could convince you to put both your 9300 and 3570 on your wrist to get a true size comparison, I'd be grateful.

Is this piece significantly thicker than the manual wind 3570.50?

I think your punctuation button is broken.
