    Hi guys
I have just taken delivery of my first speed master automatic on the face of it a nice watch to my inexperienced eye ,I will post photos tomorrow, however the seller states a Ref.: 53557372 but I can't find it ,also can I find the movement number and Cal without opening the case ?
The watch seems to keep time ok but neither Chrono buttons work is this likely to be terminal?
Sorry no images but any initial advice would help
    Thanks Tony

Terminal? Not if you return it to the seller.......if that is a possibility. Keep it? You could be in for a world of hurt, and expense. Not a lot of repair shops will work on these owing to difficulty of getting parts. Diagnosing chronograph problems is difficult on these because the chronograph module is hidden under the actual movement. The number you gave would appear to me to be a S#, not a model number.

I'll take that bet - that's the serial number, so the reference is actually a 35105000...

I don't think the underworld do fakes for speedy reduced 3510 since they can just replicate the more popular moonwatch.
