    Hey friends,

If I were looking for gaskets for speedies, what size would I be looking for? Not diameter, but thickness?

    0.5mm? 0.7mm?

    Always greatly appreciated!

All you have to do is measure the width of the groove in the case to determine what thickness to use. Since the name "Speedmaster" has been used on so many watches, it would be impossible for me to tell you what you are after. If it's a traditional manual wind model, then just off the top of my head they are all 1 mm.

    Cheers, Al

    Thanks Al.

Yeah, 2998, 105.003 mainly. I'll see if I can measure too.

    Thanks!

Some models of Speedmaster (not the Professional) have used the "red" gasket, and have a press-on case back. These gaskets serve two purposes. They provide the seal, but also hold the case back on. Are you dealing with a Speedmaster with this sort of gasket?
