Recently I saw three original 145.022's ranging from '68-'73 all three pieces had a satin finish including the bracelet.
I read a blog entry: http://www.omegablogger.com/archives/121 on a what appears to be a 145.022.71ST on a 1039 bracelet. Both the watch & bracelet exhibit a bright finish.

According to the blogger the watch had kept in a safe deposit box since the early 70's. Were Speedmaster Professional's delivered from the factory with a bright/high polish finish?

The modern references I.e. 3570 etc all have a satin finish similar to the three vintage models I mentioned earlier.

The sides of the lugs would have had a brushed (satin) finish originally. The 1039 bracelet would have had brushed centre links and polished outer links. Over time with wear, things generally end up looking more on the satin side (especially bracelet links).
