This watch was purchased in 2003 and always seem to have trouble with the latch mechanism. It would always unlatch without warning. Had it back to the jeweler several times; he just adjusted it by "bending" the mechanism. It would be ok for a bit, then back to unlatching. I have gone to several jewelers over the years, but to no avail. It seems that a slight manipulation of the latch mechanism through it off. I finally gave up and have another band installed on the watch. Are there OMEGA alternatives to this latch? Has this latch been updated? I have attached a picture of the latch mechanism for the band.
