Speedmaster Books

Hi all,

Is there kind of a Holy Grail of Speedmaster books? By my name, you can probably make out that I'm a huge Monaco fan, but I'm also interested in Speedmasters.

What are some great books on the history of the Speedy and its variants over the years?

Is there one that's considered the 'best' or the most comprehensive?

How often do they come out with new additions of the moonwatch only book?

Moonwatch Only is widely considered to be the ‘best,’ but it’s more of a reference guide than anything - don’t expect 400-odd pages of narrative. They have to release new editions every few years to keep up with the number of limited edition watches that Omega release.

If you want a more affordable starting point, you might want to try A Moon Watch Story, which is essentially a beefed-up version of the book that comes with the current Moonwatch. It covers the basics, and it’s a fraction of the cost of MO.
