Hello OF,
i have been considering a speedmaster for quite some time now, but i have relatively small wrists and big watches just look ridiculous on me for the most part. So with that being said i have been looking for a nice speedy reduced. I have found one local to me, it has the valjoux movement which i understand is better than the ETA with the piggy back ?
i have read many of the existing posts on here, that seems to be what i have concluded, please correct me if i am wrong.

I found this one for about $2200 CAD. He claims it is a reverse panda, but the sub dials are silver not white, so i assume that is not the case.

Here are two photos i have of the watch, i prefer a black bezel but this is still appealing to me.
Is the price right for what you see ?
Is there anything specific to know about ?
thanks all,

I wouldn’t pay that much for it, but I also don’t like the looks of these Valjoux-based Speedmasters. With that said, a quick look of EBay suggest the price is not out of line, although if it hasn’t been serviced I would try to talk them down a few hundred dollars. But if you want the black bezel and reverse Panda, there are plenty of those available on EBay from reputable dealers for not much more than this is being offered at - and some come with a warranty.

My experience - buy what you really want the first time. Buying something like it will not satisfy, and you will have just wasted your money because you’ll end up selling at a loss and buying what you really wanted anyway.

Get a Speedmaster Pro. You know you want it. On my 15.5cm wrist (loosing weight cause I’m not eating out so much due to quarantine!)

Lol. The speedy went to the moon, it can take it.

But maybe you should buy an skx007 to “whack” into things.

Speedy Pro all the way - works just fine on my lady sized 5.5 inch wrist. Particularly so on a leather strap

I do also have an SKX but find it even heavier on the wrist than the speedy

My go-to knock about is a G-Shock GW-M5610

I wear my skx all the time it’s a great watch. As GarethS wrote it is heavier than the speedy unless the speedy is on its bracelet which is unnecessarily heavy.

When I bought my Speedy last year I was able to negotiate a discount at a local AD that brought the price so close to a good condition used one that it was a no brainer to buy new. But even with a very good discount it will be a lot more than the reduced you are looking at.

Are you in Canada you mentioned a watch in Canadian currency.

When you’re ready to spend 2.5 times what the reduced will cost you DM me and I’ll hook you up with my AD. They’re closed now due to the coronavirus anyways.

That is not a Speedy Reduced (ref 3510.50), it is the vastly superior (IMO) Speedmaster Date.

Correct. I was looking at a black dial one before I bought my pro. Much better movement in this one than the reduced

It's absolutely real (without seeing the back or movement). Here's mine

The watch looks fake at first glance, but let's check this.

Stop it.

Thank you for your open words. Paranoia isn't my normal business.
