    I was gifted this vintage Omega watch from my father-in-law. I would never be able to justify a watch purchase like this ever in my life so I am very grateful of the gift. I would like to restore the band to the original but I'm having trouble identifying the correct model and locating a proper band. My issue with the replacement band is that the watch ends where the band attaches is squared off and I believe the original band ends set flush up against the watch.     It is almost certainly a Speedmaster 176.0012, sometimes referred to as the 'Mark 4.5' (because it has a Mark IV case and a Mark V movement).

    I believe the correct bracelet would be a reference 1162/172. Picture from the awesome website old-omegas.com:
