Hi, i'm considering buying a Moonwatch and i found one that is 2005 fully serviced in 2021 with a new style bracelet. Price i think is fair but was wondering if you think it looks overpolished or not. can't really tell well from the pics. I imagine omega retouched it as part of the service but i guess that's fine.

What do you think? Opinions welcome
Thanks

If it was refinished by Omega themselves then it should look good. Looks to have a nasty chip in the plexiglass crystal between 12 and 1, will need replacing probably. I wonder why it needed new hands and dial, water ingress maybe. Whatever, if its had a full service then there hopefully not be any nasties lurking within. If the price is still fair once you factor in the £100-£200 for fitting a new genuine crystal then it looks OK to me. There is the faintest suspicion that the chrono hour indicator hand isn't quite aligned correctly but maybe check that with a full on shot with the chrono second hand out of the way

The photos are very dark, but at first glance it does seem to show obvious signs of polishing. Overpolished? That's up to you to decide, as is the price. It should be easy to find comps that sold recently in your specific market.

New dial also installed so as previous comments something must have happened to it previously.
New bracelet is nice but does it have the original with it?
Is it watch only or boxes/papers apart from the service receipt?

Its sort of a franken now if there isn’t the original bracelet, kind of nice to have but I’d want it to be a really good deal before buying

Yeah i kinda agree, decided to pass. Was tempted by the servicing but somehow didn't feel right. I'll wait for another one. I'm not in a rush, going to swap it with my reduced albino and would like to sell that one first. Thanks everyone
