hi. i'm a new member of this forum, and new to omega's too. could really use some advice. have my eye on a beautiful 3572.50 moon watch with a 863 (gilt) movement.
most 3572.50 i have seen have a 1863 (rhodium) movement not 863. It has a matching serial number on inside case lug and movement.
love the look of it but as its a first purchase am a little hesitant...love the hesalite with the sapphire back! also love the the gilt movement so seems like the best of all worlds.
case back has the same wording as other 3752.50's so i am pretty sure it is not a 3592.50 which has been incorrectly identified.
can provide serial number if it helps.
any opinions or suggestions would be much appreciated and welcome. thanks.

    I have a 3572.50 and it is a 1863.

3592.50 used two types of case backs. One just like 3572.50 and one with Apollo XI wording.

I think if it is a 17 jewel then it is a 3592.50

If it is an 18 jewel then I believe it could be either.

During the transitional period there was tritium dial and 863 movement but the model number was 3572.50. I've seen tritium dial and 1863 movement. I haven't seen a superluminova and 863 movement before stating it was a 3572.50.

    Thank you so much everyone!
Yes it has a tritium dial...is an 18 jewel 863 movement...
Has a bracelet not sure of number but the one which looks like the newer ones with buttons BUT without the button.
Anything I should be careful about or look out for?

Are transitional versions considered less desirable for any reason?
