This might be a question for Archer but if anyone has an answer please let me know. I purchased a new Speedmaster 9900 about 3 years ago and it was 0 sec a day when I got it. It kept getting slower and slower until recently it was running about -3 or 4 seconds a day slow. I took it to the Omega boutique and the tech said its running about 3 sec slow and the amplitude was either high or low can’t recall. He sent it to Omega service in Seattle. 4 weeks later it came aback and now its about 3 seconds on the fast side. They didn’t state what was done only that its +3s a day and pressure tested etc. My question is did they most likely fix the root cause of it slowing down or did the just adjust the microstella to make it run faster and will it gradually keep getting slower again? Thanks

It's hard to tell. You got to give it a couple months. +3 is actually really good. Well within COSC. I have Aqua Terra and Planet Ocean with 8500 movements. Neither watch has ever been serviced. They run about +3/+5 sec per day, and have done so for almost 10 years. Just another referene point for you.

I guess my question would be if Omega would normally check for issues if the amplitude is off and lube etc or just adjust the speed and send it back.

+3 seconds is comfortably within the Master Chronometer standard, I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep thinking about it.
