    Hey everyone

I love the look of both these watches and the differences seem minor.

I am sort of leaning towards the Trilogy Speedmaster. I like the look of the hands and the dial. I feel the date feature on the '57 seems a little out of place on the Speedmaster and I feel another register dial would look more at home there.

The Trilogy of course has a beautiful presentation and extra like the box etc. I love the look of the vintage bracelet. And of course it has the classic 1861 movement.
The '57 has the nice cal 9301 automatic which makes it a little bit more practical for everyday use.

Which one do you ladies and gents prefer?

    Thanks

I spent my hard-earned money on the 60th Anniversary Speedy. The 41.5 mm two register Speedmaster ‘57 does nothing for me.

I agree, I'd go for the 60th anniversary. That date window looks out of place. And the sub dial at 3 o'clock reminds me of the Planet Ocean chronographs with the hour and minute counter.

60th is my choice for sure. Nothing like a manual wind chrono!

I totally understand why the 60th is getting the votes. I will say, as an owner of the newer '57 co-axial with the broad arrow hour hand, it's a fantastic watch. I lately find myself wearing it more than any other watch I own, including my Speedy Pro. It looks great, functions great, and despite all the talk about how thick these new models are, it really doesn't wear like it on my wrist. Still, I'd really like to get the 60th, and I would if I was made of money.

I like the 60th better. I just like the manual wind and how true it is to the original.

So it would be better to save up and wait for a 60th rather than get a '57?

I also think I'd prefer the '57 as an everyday speedy since I'd be afraid of scratching or damaging the 60th

Define "better." You should just buy the one you like most if the cost is worth it to you, and only you can answer that question. You can now pretty easily pick up a brand new '57 for about $1,600 less, give or take, than you're probably going to get a 60th for. I've considered selling my '57 and buying a 60th, but the extra couple of thousand that will come out of my pocket afterward to make such a deal isn't worth it--to me. Others might think it is worth it. All personal opinion. I love my '57, it is a fantastic looking and functioning watch that reminds me every time I wear it why I don't even want to sell it, regardless. I also love the 60th and the idea of owning it, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't make me so much happier as to override the lack of desire to spend the extra money. Regardless, whichever you choose, please wear the darn thing. If I had the 60th, I'd wear it just as much as I wear any of my other watches. Otherwise, what's the point?

If you don't scratch it up, someone else is going to. ;)
