    Hello gentlemen,

Chanced upon this Speedy and my research on its legitimacy is taking me nowhere. What are your thoughts?

    If that's a fake it's scary good.

It is scary, which is why my research is going nowhere. The lack of papers and the serial number is not helping at all either.

Then again, is it possible that fakes can be that good?

This is older model 145.022 with 1171 or 1450 bracelet. Most of the really good fakes that I know use newer 1479/89/99 or 1998 bracelet model

So high chance it is original. The best way to check is by seeing the movement. No one could copy cal 861/1861 yet.

    Just my 2 cents

The older cases before 1990 did not have serial engraving on the case lug. That watch is legit and the bracelet matches the time frame. Feel free to me if you need more help.
