Dear guys, I just currently joined the forum and read almosr recent threads. Just a fan of moonwatch, and consider to make purchase of a real watch though I got a couples Seiko, Tissot and Baume&Mercier.

Here is one 3573.50 from a guy in local watch forum for sale, he sent me a few pictures and clearly they are not best quality. What do you guys think of this, authentic or not? It will need to be polished for sure at this badly abused condition. He claimed it is from Japan and no B&P, no scratch on crystal and techymetre. Serie 772xxxxxx with globe engraved.

Can I make a move on this?will polishing bring it back to its original state?

    Thanks alot guy

Yeap the watch is real, just make sure you actually receive the product and take appropriate precautions if you choose to buy it.

today, I came and had a look at the watch in person, it is not in best condition for sure, but feel very solid, even with many swirls, scratches on bracelet and cases, the techymetre and crystal both sides are in good condition.

However when I first tried to wind the watch , it worked fine, chronograph functions as it should. But after a few minutes talking with the owner, it stopped, like completely stopped, even after winding for a while. Both of us had no idea, he said he will bring it to a local watchmaker, but I am seriously confused. Has anyone experienced this before?

    Hi,
It looks real but is obviously in need of a service, this can run US$500, so I suggest you move on. George/kringkily on this forum can find you one of these easy enough and he is a reputable seller. Drop him a pm or check out our for sale forums.
    Good luck

When I had my 3572.50 serviced in came back looking like new. It was $500 in 2012 and from an Omega AD.

Unless you can get this for under $2,000 I would move on.

Its working now. He said because we pushed the chronograph button and still winded. It made the watch stop. Is it possible? sorry for this newbie question, this is my first manual winding watch.

He offered to lower to 2300usd min. Should I make a move on this? I could have a local watchmaker servicing the watch afterwards. omg its hard to decide.

Once you service your in at $2800-2900. What other prices are you seeing on other similar watches? Also, are all scratches superficial? Nothing that can't be polished without removing too much metal. Having been down this road, better bet is to look at prices for mint condition watches and then evaluate.

Updated. I finally pulled the trigger. Price down to 2100usd, not bad for 3573.50 year 2008-2009 right? The second time I checked the watch is not as bad as I thought, it functions accurately so far as I have used the atomic watch to compare.

I will have to pay a visit to a local watchmaker for polishing too. Hopefully it will come back in much better condition.

After 2 days at my local watchmakers, it comes back polished and movement checked out, most superficial scratches removed, he even cleared the smalls marks on the sapphire. I rate it at least over 90% now if you compared with previous state from above.

he said I got myself a good deal at 2100 bucks, ;) very happy to join the Speedmaster club now
