I'm considering this 3570.50 with an 1861 movement. The serial number dates it to around 2005. I can't see any red flags, but then again, I am just starting to branch out into the Speedy territory. I have a set of tritium hands and dial from another Speedy purchased from another OF member, so I'm thinking of using those for a more vintage look and I'll probably swap the clasp and end links for an adjustable set.

Any red flags that I should be aware of?

You should be able to source an '80s one with tritium - why are you going more modern and swapping in the other parts?

Dont mess that one up and make it a a Franken, buy a tritium 3570, 3590 or earlier 145.022.

Price was very attractive on this one. The 3590's I have seen with tritium are >50% more than this one.

But, I do understand the sentiment and I'll look again for a tritium version. The other option is to take the Mistukoshi Mod dial and hands from my 3572 and put them on this 3570, then put the tritium set back on the 3572. That keeps the older 3572 original with the tritium set and the modified set on the later 3570. Basically a round of musical dials and hands. My end goal is a standard black tritium Speedmaster and the modded Mistukoshi Speedmaster.

I've seen so many Speedmasters lately, I can't remember where I saw what. But, the callous on the hand seems familiar. This one for sale?

Oh my. You consider this a daily beater? I'd love to see what you consider your prime examples. They must be something to behold!

I'm going to be listing my 3590.50 from 1990, as soon as I get around to taking current photos. It was serviced by Omega in 2015 and comes with an extract.

I try not to follow too many watch guys on IG.. Sometimes I'll see a nice pic of a watch on the explore page and get stuck on my phone for 2 hours.

Oh, how I wish, but not that cheap. Most 3590's I've seen go for around 4K, but there are so few up for sale, it's hard to get a decent price trend.

if you think about it .... the 90's are now what youngtimers are in car world. especially the tritium ones who gain a super nice vanilla / yellow patina will only know one price direction.

buying cheap is mostly not the best idea (except it's a real bargain)
better to maybe overpay today for a perfect one and getting a winner

so for a early 90's i would only buy fullset with at least correct box and papers.
