I recently bought this speedmaster Ref. 3511.50 reduced Japanese market. I had it for 10 days and it was very hard to wind and it basically stopped, so returned to Tourneau and they sent it out for an overhaul. Water test, gasket, ultrasonic cleaning and replaced a pusher. The pushers seemed to work fine, so I don’t know why they replaced one. I got it back and it is still VERY hard to wind. I am sure that I am not over-winding it. I can only wind it 3 or 4 rotations. I am wondering if I should take it back again. Is this normal???

Since it's an automatic, the chances of over-winding it are somewhere between slim and none. You shouldn't need more than a few turns or some side to side motion to get it started. If that's not getting it ticking, I would take it back.

New gaskets can make it hard to wind.

A new pusher maybe because it failed a water test.

    You cannot overwind these.
