What could it be and what could it be called?!

I say ‘new’ cal 321 105.003 case in white gold, with a white gold dial, black ceramic bezel, hesalite, dial furniture identical to the gold 50th (but all in WG, perhaps even with white registers), white gold bracelet similar to SS 50th, mooncrater box like the gold 50th. Called ... same as the others I guess.

    What say you?

I wasn't aware that they were gonna release something, I must've missed the buildup or something.

If they do it however , I hope it is a faithful re-edition/remake of a classic e.g. the Ed White. Alas I am afraid that it's probably going to be somesort of weird moonshine gold thingy with prints on the dial and or caseback with extra fluff(badges, metals and thingys)

Ah yes, only Omega could one up their “50th anniversary” LE with ANOTHER LE, the “EXACT 50th anniversary” edition.

If there is a release, to justify the expected high cost I am betting in a pretty faithful Ed White clone in Platinum with 321, step dial and DON bezel a la recent BA 122.022 reissue but more so.

Only thing is, the EW doesn’t really have Moon resonance so maybe we are wide of the mark and it’ll be a platinum 145.012 w 321 for the same reasons. Edit actually I probably mean 105.012. Both 50th LEs have 105 pushers...

2nd a 145.012 reboot with new 321, maybe with a lock of Buzz’s hair in a display caseback?

You post ‘seek and ye shall find’ often Phil. I still have no idea what you mean unless you are obliquely referring to Buzz’s actual watch? That would certainly be newsworthy if they pulled that rabbit out of a hat, but i can’t see a law enforcement agency or NASA conspiring to hold back its discovery until today if it had indeed been located and secured.

From whom? Last I heard Omega was a watch manufacturer...

You mean like actual flown hair? Taken from his first head-shave after the Apollo 11 mission? I can’t imagine there was a lot of hair...that will be a true LE

    Jokes aside...

Really hoping to see a ST 105.012 reissue when the clock on the omega website hits 50yrs at 20:17UTC this evening.

321 won’t be a LE. Limited production and likely PM my guess platinum.

Yes, I think I agree with this. Releasing a 321 steel would be great but would surely impact sales of the current LE given 90% seem not to have been delivered yet.

I've been holding a vigil for the Gemini IV 50th anniversary watch since June 3, 2015. I hope you're right but I think Omega will disappoint me again.

I look forward to a new Ed White and hope today is the day. I can see it now and I can't wait.

The countdown timer on the Omega website is now past the 50 year mark.......and nothing new showing up. Wishful thinking, I think, got ahead of reality, again. People have had 'irrational exuberance' about the 321 reintroduction ever since it was announced.

Just another case of wishful thinking IMO.

Edit: They did it, there was no chance I was going to buy this as the SS was my choice metal wise although this having the 321. I was curious after all the speculation it has the meteorite and precious metals as some members started it would have.

Why do people keep saying Ed white clone for the lunar landing 50th?

Didn’t 321 professionals go to the moon? Not pre pros?

It would be cool if they did an LE called the “Non-Moon LE” for all of us who are tired of this moon marketing gobbledegook.

I’d gladly pay whatever they ask just to not have a Speedmaster dripping in hackneyed mooneyed over-designed nostalgia.
