I know, I feel absolutely gutted that I overpaid. I went back to the store and they wouldn't refund me, hehe. Oh well, live and learn.
I'd love to be able to time travel, go back and rectify a lot of missed opportunities. I recently saw a 1972 Rolex catalogue with most watches in the $125-150 bracket, similarly priced to the Omegas.
I just purchased a 5513, it came with catalog price of the 1989 prices, I would have died looking at how much they charge for old Daytona and Milgauss. And prices of them now..... 5513 cost more then Daytona and Milgauss... omg
Eventhough so many watches seem expensive today, it pays to buy good quality. Quality is long remembered after price is forgotten.
Dibs noted, after my son. That said, I intend on wearing this one for a very long time. It is also my birth year watch with a Military connection.
