    Happy holidays, Everyone!
I'm considering a 2915-3 and it has a movement # 15.99x.xxx that I've seen documented for the 2915-2 range. What do you think? Is this a red flag? Or was Omega less strict with how they used movements for 2915s? The watch as an Omega extract, but I'm not sure if there is a validation process or they just state what you tell them. Would love to hear your experiences & opinions about this.

On the extract, if it's before 2010, it's probably not worth much as omega used to echo back what you put on the request. Post 2010 appear to carry more weight, though Omega will only put on it what they have in their records, and for 2915s and 2998s, they don't have much in the way of records. I've been unsuccessful in getting extracts for my 2998s. I believe they won't issue extracts for any speedies with serial numbers below ~20m.

    FWIW

    1) 1599xxxx is pretty far from the recommended MWO 2915-3 range
    2) I own a Seamaster 2907-2 with a 1599xxxx serial number.

How does dial, bezel, hands, case etc check out?

Given the rarity of 2915's, if everything else seemed original and the price was reasonable, I might still be interested.

As recent events show, if you wait for the perfect 2915, you may be waiting a very long time.
