    Hi guys,

first post here, but it doesn‘t feel like being a new member as I am/was visiting this forum as a guest on a virtually daily basis.

I‘m collecting vintage watches since more than 20 years with a focus on chronographs (Omega, Breitling, Zenith, and Heuer) from the 50-70s. My first watch was an Omega Flightmaster, which I still own, but I have to admit that the Speedmasters - particularly the early ones - are closer to my heart. Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase a 2915 at the right time, but while I was browsing my inventory the other day, I stumbled across the 2915/2998 manual that a bought a couple of years ago. I thought it might by worthwhile to share it with the Speedmaster enthusiasts here. I’m sure that apart from the hardcore collectors, not many have seen this booklet in the flesh and there is little information on the internet.

Hope, you enjoy it and consider the content adequate for the first post on this forum.

    Merry Christmas and happy holidays

Is there a page that describes the components that the lines point to? (First photo)

Cool stuff. Thanks @Doc69 and welcome.

Interesting to see how the artist renderings differed from final production.

    For example:
Artist ........ Round O in Omega
    Production.......Wide Oval O

@oddboy has always wondered what the buttons at 2 and 4 did.

Some times they are a bit hard to turn and need a bit of persuasion ;).

Hi. Would you consider selling it?

Martin 123: I hesitate to speak for the OP, however, typically, an item of this rarity either doesn't get sold, or does so only at a price that would make the owner part with it. Read: obscenely high. Perhaps PM him?

... a couple of days ago I actually thought about to let the leaflet go to fund something new (old), but meanwhile lost my interest in both selling (at least for now) and buying. Considering that I have the right box, guarantee booklet and this instruction manual, I'm really darn close to a 2915 full set, “just“ lacking the watch (well, I could use my Trilogy Speedmaster to create the perfect illusion).

BTW, if any member has a full set, I‘d love to see some pics.

    ...here we are!

The B&Ps on the right (not for sale, don’t ask) go well with my 2998. I also do not intend to sell the set on the left at the time being, but who knows...

I promise to contact you first if I change my mind.

The corduroy boxes for these watches seem to be rarer than the watches themselves...
