I assume, some members had watched this one: https://www.ebay.de/itm/273088140919Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I've never seed this type of engraving. There are some differences to "normal" Apollo casebacks like different "A"s, alignment of "on the moon" is not in line with the "-", etc. Is it the very, very, very rare version of the straight writing or just a fake?
There are 2 vintage steel versions of straight writing casebacks The Apollo XI version is certainly harder to source. Not sure how many “verys” harder. I wonder if anyone knows the production numbers of the 2 styles?
According to MWO around 300(?) of the Apollo XI, delivered to Japan. It is rare. I was in contact with the seller, he had no extract which would have confirmed authenticity/mentioned this inscription. And I was not sure about the Typo on the offered one.
