Hi All, WATCH: For sale is a my 145.022-71, it has been in WRUW a lot recently but you can't keep everything. The last of the stepped dial Speedmasters and the first with the modern style caseback inscription. I have compared this watch to MWO and it checks out in every instance: 3.2mil serial, correct crown, correct crystal marking, correct serif 'D'/tall 'W'/short tail 'Q', tall 'C' DNN bezel, Delrin brake, etc. The dial and hands are pristine and hold a short charge, I believe them to be original tritium. The bezel is nearly perfect as well. Additionally, there are no WM marks indicating it has ever been serviced. The case, to my eye, does not look to have been polished and is showing crisp brushed sides and lug tops. The 9o'clock case side holds this watches only downfall, there are 3 small indentations present. They are visible when looked at the correct light/angle. And one is visible from the backside. On the wrist they do not show, the brushed finish is still present at these spots. The movement is pristine with matching hues and Delrin brake, correct for the serial #. The gasket has gone "goo" but there are no signs of oxidation. BRACELET: Watch can be paired with its undated 1039 (with 8 expandable links, one of which needs its spring repaired) and two 516 end links. I believe that bracelets were not date stamped after '72, hence this reference with an un-dated clasp would be correct.
