    Hello!

I have not written that much here since i had had lack of time but i wanted to change that now and be more active.

I have been interessted in Speedmasters awhile and bought one a few years ago but now i am a little lost with the exact stand of mine, there are many i have seen that the dial and hands are in worse condition.

So my thoughts are, what is the value of mine, i have checked different sites but do not get any wiser if mine is good or collector good?
I have also thought of course of selling mine and go for a 321-Speedmaster in some way. or a Tudor 9411 snowflake

    Info on mine:
    145.022-69ST
    Seahorse on the back case
    861-movement
    seems unpolished?

    And help would be appreciated

    Hare are some pictures:

It seems a very clean example..the head could be totally original and the conditions are really good. What is the serial number?
    Cheers

Next time you sell a 69 for 3800€ please give me a call
I'm thinking about a transitional or a 69 to sit next to the 105.012-66

Appears to be a really nice -69 indeed. Assuming the DNN is original, it brings us to 1971 but considering the dial lume I would say it’s one of the latest -69s, 32.xxx, most probably from 1972.

Look forward to see the serial to confirm my guess :)

I think the dial lume is very white and not damaged, shoulnt it be more faded on a almost 50 year old watch?

Ok so then it changes a lot. DNN bezel isn’t the correct one here. Should be either don or 220.

And based on this new information, the dial is probably a later (still tritium) service replacement imho.

Strange, form what i heard there is so much diffrent settings with bezel and backcase..

the dial is a stepdial why should it be replaced?

I have the exctract ( didnt find it now) but it says it is made in 1971

Which implies there where only 220s delivered for the whole timespan they appeared. I'm not sure about that, is anyone? :)

EDIT: let me add "or mounted during that serial batch"

3058xxxx is fine for DNN, not all watches in this range had 220s. The 220 was a pretty small batch too.

Dial is stepped, service replacements never were, so if it's a replacement it would have been done when the watch was nearly new

I think this is a pretty nice watch, I don't love the dial lume but I do think it goes very nicely with the ghostly faded bezel. Case looks quite pitted though so I don't think I'd pay a premium for it

If you're looking for a critique and price my opinion would be that it's slightly less than good on the Sp101 price chart.

Case is average to good, bezel is average to good and the dial while appearing original does not have attractive yellow lume. All the pieces appear original which is a plus and as @abrod520 said, the pale lume goes well with the slightly faded bezel.

Yeah, I'm not sure I got that either, was that a reference to something? :)

He was sure I had MWO open, double-checking what you guys said ;)

I wasn’t. ::bleh:: My comments were based on own observations and extracts of different watches I have or have had. :)
