Hi All - newish to the forums. Just wanted to share one of my favorite watches that I just bought. I got it for a steal. Its in better shape than I could have hoped, and its my first vintage speedy. I believe it was serviced 30 or so years ago, because the crown, pushers, and hands were probably changed - but also have some nice age - and the hands are tritium.
Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for letting me share!

    Just one question: What's a steal? :)

Also, shouldn't this have the DON bezel...I defer to the experts here...

Looks very nice mate. Even service parts can become vintage eventually.

This "should" have a DON bezel - but this bezel is accurate to the late 80s-early90s service that it most likely encountered. Which I kind of like - vs a random swap out.

If I include the extract from the archives, and the vintage 633 endlinks - I'm in the hole $3500

Congrats on the watch, and welcome.

BTW, a '69 Speedy is not really considered "UNIQUE WATCHES & COMPLICATIONS" here on OF. :D

depending on serial number this could have been produced with either a DON or a DNN (which it does sound as if you are aware of?).
Do you know the first digits of the serial?
And congrats on a wonderful watch!

You did well - congrats. DON or not - it’s a great looking piece with a sharp case

Funny thing - Joined nearly two years ago but never realized that there is a "Unique Watches & Compilations" here on the Forum at all ;)

That's right - but that condition is stunning. I spent the last day or so looking at early 145.022 online and finding one with much paint left on the bezel is quite the rarity.

(Corrected this - I originally wrote 'dial' when of course I meant 'bezel)
