The vintage Speedmaster 145.022-69 arrived today and now I'm deciding between two straps. Both look pretty good in my opinion. The first is a black leather vintage style strap and the other is a blue alligator strap. Opinions are most welcome. Thanks.

You know what they say about opinions. I would prefer the alligator in black but since that's not an option, I would choose number one or a bracelet.

I like the look of aa dark brown strap on Speedmaster, especially a vintage one.

Between the two, the blue gator, although it's difficult to see the true color (maybe a direct sunlight shot)?
But the tan strap looks great. I think I've been trying too hard to like the FOIS. Great look, but I really prefer the Pro case with twisted lugs and crown guards.

 

My photos are indeed of poor quality. They are quick phone shots as I tried the different straps on the watch. I'm sorry about that.

Try the auto focus settings. I believe that may not be done properly.

I think Speedy always look good on a NATO strap.

I like your Speedmaster. Your bezel has similar flaking patina like mine. I find it is more noticeable in pictures than in the flesh. What year is it?

 

That's so true... did not realize how similar the flaking is to yours. Mine is a 69 as well. All original besides the replacement central chrono hand and crystal.

 

I also like brown. But in this case I would choose the gator strap.
