A wonderful example. Selling only because I have another and this one lost the toss up. £6000 Fully serviced by Simon Freese end of June 2018. Acquired by me in 2011. Superb Dial and Bezel. The dial has a dark chocolate body colour and is in superb condition. The serial is in the 2960xxxx range and I have seen this attractive type of dial before in this range. It is darker than the dials in the 2911xxxx range but has an attraction (and a following) all of its own. The colour is more pronounced here: So it is a charming dial for me. The hands and bezel appear original to the watch. The pushers were replaced at service. And in daylight on the fence post... Exceptional movement, just serviced and in warranty. Note the pristine screw heads. What are my criticisms? Case shows signs of light polishing. But not heavy. There are some minor marks on the case. Bezel while extremely good, does have a couple of marks that knock it out of the $5000 bezel club. Other than that this is one of the most attractive examples I have seen. Why am I selling? I am refocusing my collection, and removing some capital in it to pay for the wife's new house - its on going and crippling. I am unable to say we cannot have that sofa while I still have more watches than I can wear. In this particular case the watch that beat it into the permanent collection was a one owner example with papers and 100% bezel. Who am I? I am a enthusiastic private collector, holding a large number of watches. I sell only when I need to finance something else. I do not acquire watches to profit, but to collect. Of course I welcome an uplift when I sell, but it is not my motive. I have many references here on this forum, and I wrote the site www.speedmaster101.com. My reputation is more important to me than selling you a watch that you might not want. Terms Cash with a Face to Face in London, or South West preferred - otherwise Payment by Bank Wire, in UK pounds sterling to my company account in Hong Kong, or Crypto currency. (HSBC compelled me to acquire my special objects through a company account, as the amounts were varying, unpredictable, and they would not let me do it through my private account. So thats why you have to send it to my company). If you are uncomfortable with this, then I will wait until you are. Or cash in UK. Returns While they are not welcomed, I will take it back if you are seriously miserable and very, very nice about it. Obviously you have to pay the shipping, and get it back to me in the same condition as I sent it. Delivery Face to face is welcome, in UK, GU8 area or London. UK delivery is by registered Mail, insured to £2500.
Always nice to see the results of Simons work. A beautiful Omega Speedmaster, serviced by the best and retaining it's vintage appeal. GLWTS.
Another sale off to Asia. Lucky new owner, I am quite sad to see this go.... Once again thank you all for interest.
