First post on the forum. I acquired a Speedmaster Professional in a trade with my father (for two watches he had previously given me that I wasn’t wearing, so I can’t complain regardless of the outcome). It was an eBay purchase from Japan in 2016. The serial number is 8328***, which places it from 1996 with an 861 movement based on “the chart.” I quickly went down the Moonwatch rabbit hole, and in researching the reference I learned that Tritium was the norm for the lume. The dial and hands are clearly SuperLuminova on the watch, and there are no “Ts” on the dial. It is very clean, so I assumed it had been sent into Omega and the dial, hands, and possibly bezel were replaced with service parts at some point (no service records provided). On this forum, I read that after 1994 some 145.022 may have had SuperLuminova, which offered some hope that it is original. The dial looks like it has a “step” to me, but it is somewhat difficult to tell under the Hesalite (which has the horseshoe). Attached are photos, best I could do at the moment on my phone (camera not functioning). Can anyone help? Thanks. I think you are probably missing a "4" at the beginning of that serial number so maybe 48328XXX?

The serial can’t start with an 8, no Hesalite crystal Speedmaster Pro or Pre Moon does so as noted above you are likely missing a leading 4 or if it were nearly new a 7.

SL was used on dials starting with the 3570.50 model in 1997 (though tritium was used on that model for a year first). The bracelet on the OP watch is earlier than the 1998/849 fitted to the 3570.50. It looks like the 1479/812 maybe which was used on the previous tritium dial 3590.50 so there is indeed a chance it is an early-mid 1990s 3590 model with a dial swap. That is a no-step SL dial as fitted as std post 1997 but the bracelet and likely serial suggest it is earlier. Eugene’s wonderful resource, ILMS has 48.328m dated at 1995...

Ok so it is most likely you have a 3590.50 from circa 1995 with an SL service dial which was your first conclusion!
