Hi All, I purchased this watch from the son of the original owner up in Cleveland last year. Watch has seen limited use, case is in excellent shape, lugs are super sharp, don bezel is real nice and it’s starting to ghost a little around the edges, only issues are two small chips. Dial is very nice, couple of small areas of lume missing. only strange thing is the chrono hand looks like from a vintage racing model, I had nesbits in Seattle take a look at it and they thought the hand was similarly aged to the main hands so a bit of a mystery there (almost looks like a white ultraman, just a little short). Watch has not been serviced recently as can be seen by the melted gasket. The owners son (70’s) told me his father purchased it new in ‘68 and died in ‘73 passing it on, the son put it in a drawer and rarely if ever wore it, he told me that he had never had it serviced. Pushers and crown are original and untouched. Also included is the original 1039/ 516 bracelet dated to Q4/68, band is in great shape, links have sharp defined edges and the there are 6 expanding links which also work perfectly with no stretch. I ordered an extract from Omega which comes with the watch. Any question let me know! Asking $9,500 o.b.o Payment via bank wire with any required vetting or I’ll happily accept PayPal plus 3%
Hi DB I'm sure you already know the 26552xxx serial number puts the Watch in esteemed company: GLWTS - Best - Neil
Think I’m just gonna hand carry this over to STS in June and get it serviced and have a period correct chrono hand installed....
