    Hey guys,

while I wait for the right TV dial 1045 to show up, I've been looking at the Speedmaster 125's to hold me over. This one popped up on eBay last night for what appears to be a nice price. Your thoughts?

Looks pretty nice but while I've never tried one on myself, I hear they're not very wearable!

On the other hand the TV/1045 is pretty wearable! I quite like mine with the sunburst dial and the bar bracelet and it was recently serviced at STS UK so it looks great...but I don't wear it much so maybe wearability isn't that big of an issue ;-)

Keep your eye on the prize. While the condition of the 125 looks nice (wish pictures were clearer) and price is ok (not great and not bad), unless you like the watch, best to wait for what really strikes your fancy.

Yeah, I hear the 125 is a bit of a brick, but I kind of like that about it. It's a magnificent beast. If you ever get tired of your TV dial, you know who to call!

I'd love to have one of each, so it's not a "this one or that one" situation. As for this particular 125, I don't think I'll see a much better price, and if the experts here feel it's priced right for its condition, I'll probably jump on it.

Good luck with that one and show us the pictures once you acquire it.

I saw one around €1500 in Europe in a similar condition but of course importing it in the US would have brought it up the price of the one you spotted...

I had a 125 too and found it pretty wearable, but i have to admit that i find the Ploprof pretty wearable too ;)
The shape of the backside of the 125 makes it comfier as other big watches like the Seamaster 120 Chronograph, that was one watch i sold
because i found it really unwearable, too head heavy

For whatever reason I love the look of chunky 1970's watches. If anyone knows where I can find one of these, I'll be eternally grateful...

On the other hand, I absolutely hate the modern trend of Hummer sized dials, go figure.

As for the 125, I'll have made a decision on that by tomorrow evening.
