    Hi All,
So I've had the lucky opportunity to refinish a Speedmaster 125 case top, also to hand at the same time was a Watchco NOS case top as well. The Watchco ones are still available on eBay. As long as you aren't located in Australia that is.......they don't list the country of origin as a country they will ship to anymore. This was the first time I'd had anything to do with a 125. It's interesting to compare the two, they are slightly different dimensions particularly on the back side where the old case is longer. However the new case has wider lug sections. Also it is highly polished on the underside where as the old one has a chunky horizontal grain. (Haven't touched the underside of the old one yet)

I had to make the chamfers on the old case slightly wider due to some issues from previous polishing and refinishing of the original case. It was the only way to make all the corners meet up and the difference is very slight. Another challenge was that the case top and sides were not perfectly flat, over the years the flat surfaces and edges had rounded. I wasn't sure how it would turn out. The smooth curve at the top and bottom were hard to do as well but I'm happy with the sharp edges that were the result.

"Before" pics of the old case are first in line. Run away if you're already close to your download limit lol.

Thanks guys, looking at it again this morning there's a couple of small touch ups I need to do. Probably things most wouldn't notice but it's the curse of the obsessive right? ;)
