    Hi,
I have a question regarding a 105012-65, fitted with a 1039 bracelet. Story goes it was bought from a watch shop in 1967 after original owner, a police officer, couldn't afford the last down payment. Owner says original from when he got it from the shop in 1967. Question is: bracelet is marked 1/68, could this be original to the watch or was it fitted later? Thankful for any comments. /Ed

Bracelet was produced after watch was sold.

But the watch was bought is 67 even though it is a 67 reference. I would agree that it is a later bracelet

Bracelets where put on at time of sale so a watch could have sat a few months or a year and got a later bracelet.

The OP says the watch was bought by the original owner in 1967 so there is no way a bracelet made in 1968 was fitted a POS.

The right bracelet for a 105.012-65 is a 1506/16 and only this one. The 1039 came with the 145.012 and the 145.022

Are you certain about this? Older members have cautioned me that there aren't many absolutes in Horology.

    MWO says maybe not

Late 105.012-65 were assembled in 1967, so they were very likely fitted with a 1039.

If extract of archives mentions bracelet as "stainless steel". Will this mean that the production of the bracelet will have same quarter as watch is assembled?
