    Hi Guys,

First time posting here and i need some opinions. I have this 105.012 Speedy and would love to get some comments. The listing is asking for the around the same price as "Running Condition" in speedmaster101 price chart (great site btw). Appreciate any opinions. Thanks!

Is it a 63 or 65? Does the serial number match the case? If it does, I'm sure many would pay more for it in this condition.

Looks like a -65. Looks nice to me. I'd buy it for the right price. The wise ones should be along shortly to count the teeth on the crown and all that stuff...

If I'm not mistaken, this speedmaster has been sold on a french forum (I had noticed as it is beautiful), and I remember there was a problem with the serial number (26 millions) which is not correct for a 105012-65...

The only truly way to know is order an extract. There was a lot of overlap during this era and being off by a little may not always fit into the so cold maddox serial number list.

The 105.003s have a bit more flexibility to their serials but 25.44 is the top end seen on a known legitimate 105.012.

I agree with you for the necessity to order an extract to really know, but in this case, 26 millions seems to me very high for a 105012-65 (the higher serial number that I had observed is 24.537.xxx for this reference 105012-65) but maybe I'm wrong... at least I hope for zonaldson.

*******!!!.......emailed the French shop about this watch yesterday to see if it was still available! I always seem to just miss out! If anyone reading this has a nice 105.012 65 let me know!! Very nice watch in my opinion irrespective of serial numbers etc ( but still being new at this I'm far more forgiving than the veteran posters! )

Hi guys, thanks for the comments. Amateur mistake on my end for not asking for a better picture of the serial number! Nevertheless, it still looks great! Will post more pics and update you guys on the serial number when I get it on hand! Thanks

    Be careful.
"running" in my definition also requires "all major parts to be correct"
It might look great, and even run great.
    BUT
If the serial is too late, then should you, or your beneficiaries try to sell it, then the price will again have to be lower than a correct one.
As long as the price is right, I wouldn't have a problem.

I would expect the serial to be below 24533xxx.

Those pusher tubes look filthy. It may need a service.

Setting movement issue aside for a second, that dial could be a corker.
