Any thought about this one? It happens to be my birth year, but I have to admit I'd prefer a straight lug at this age. Details here http://www.bachmann-scher.de/de/Ome...-105-012-65-Stainless-Steel-Bj-1965-8767.html Seems a little pricey but not overly so for a dealer.
i think that interesting coincidence... would likely be enough for me to walk away on this one. Although I will say it's a semi-ingenious way for unreputable sellers to save themselves the ~$1K needed to purchase a replacement DON while still being in a position to argue they in fact already have the correct DON on the watch (it's just that we can't see that pesky dot). New bezel type: DUD (Dot Under Damage)
I've got one of those bezels.. the dot by 70 can also be used to affirm that it's correct, though yes, it is annoying. I referred to mine as a NDO90, No Dot Over 90
Case looks like it's had some polish too, but I'd say it's fairly -to -only- just- over- priced as it's got a nice original bracelet. I'd say it's a decent wearable example for ~10% under the ask.
Yeh, I didn't want to colour any comments before but the bezel made me very suspicious. Nice to hear it's probably correct but even so I think that, along with lack of cleaning (and presumably any servicing) and the fact that I'd really prefer a 105.003, is enough to put me off.
I think this is correct DON and dial looks pretty nice. I think hands are replacement (too short), crown wrong and would want to see movement. But, all and all not a bad .012.
Hands look ok to me. I have bought from them before and watch was good. However all Speedie prices seemed to have shot up in last couple of months so everything over priced how much now for 105.003? Would want to see inner bracelet , back case and movement photos.
I think vintage Speedmaster prices will shoot up even higher after the Christies Speedmaster auction. The damage over 90 bezel is a deal breaker for me, even though it's still the correct bezel.
If you want like this one, you can wait and buy in this forum. You will get the better price. Good luck.
