Speedmaster 105.012-64 Good Buy?

Well for me the NoNasa is very cool, and the 220 bezel is of no interest, at all.
Lucky we all like different things!
But that 145.012 - wow that was a nice dial, even though the plots were a little poor.
The pulsation bezel, that is a conundrum. I personally do not value it, but thats a hell of a price to pay, without a DO90.

Beyond the scenes of the Auction houses. A exeptional 145.012 that has well exceeded this auction result, this September. And I know exactly why. And I am happy it was between collectors.

I'd love to know where you're getting nicer mid 60's Speedmasters for $5k.

I was not necessarily referring to a Speedmaster and not necessarily to a mid 60's either. $5k for a unattractive watch is $5k flushed. Just my opinion.

Just asking, but why would somebody squeeze on that goddamn ugly strap on a supposed vintage $5-6,000 watch?

I beg to differ. Of all the vintage Speedie Bezels, the vintage Pulsation Bezel is among the most impressive. Certainly beats a run of the mill Base 500 DON. Granted, the Pulsation does best belong paired with a lollipop chrono hand on an early 2998 reference. Then it completes a 1960’s doctor’s watch from a long ago era. MWO features this combo as well.

I disagree. Thing about the pulsations bezel is that 2/3 of it is empty space or useless words. Visually it ain't great.


Otherwise though that watch is pretty amazing.
