This is the second time I've come across an Ed White 105.003-65 with a 24 million serial number. Any ideas if this is close enough that it is possible? Roman Hartmann's chart http://chronomaddox.com/romans.html seems to imply the 24 million numbers were used starting with the 145.012 model, and all of of the other sources on Omega serial numbers on the internet seem to support this.

My 105.003 has a 24xxxxxx serial and I've got an extract confirming it is original to the watch.

The confusion may come from the fact that although these are stamped -65 they were made for several years afterwards. Mine was made in '67, so concurrent with the 145.012.

Keep cool, all is good - you have a nice watch there and the serial is in the "green zone" - I also have an Omega confirmed one from 1967

Confirming here as well. You should be good. Watch looks great. On a side note, I am curious if it is a 105.003 thing where the sub-dial printing is occasionally off a bit?

Sorry didn't mean to imply that this is my watch. This is one of two examples that I'm thinking about purchasing. With this watch, the seller doesn't seem to know the date, but with the other one (I don't have permission to use pics) the seller is insisting it is from 1965. It is in better condition than the example above, but it also has a later serial of 245xxxxx.

Having said that, the seller may have made the same mistake that Davidt3449 mentions. They are both asking $7500+, so trying to decide if it is worth it

The production years of 105.003-65 were 1966 - 1969. I own a 105.003-65 with full setup, serial 24531xxx, originally purchased, 4/22/1967 in Basel Switzerland.

Hi, does anyone know the last serial number of the 105.003-65, I understand MWO state 26,554,xxx but what was the last, hopefully by official sources.
The last 50 being delivered in Spring 1969, with a production date early 1969.

One has to wonder, what do you actually want to know? What I mean is if we find the number of the very last '003 how does that help you?

If you have a a watch, then the best thing to do is ask for an extract, and/or tell us what your number is and let the community opine.

Which we all love to do.

And as for Official sources, MWO is about as official as they get, so how much closer to 26554xxx are you hoping for? Which brings me back to my first point.

And probably best if you start a new thread....with photos

    Welcome to the forum:)

Thank you, you are correct, I think it will be best to start a new thread but I am currently on holiday and don’t have my Speedmaster with me.
I have just received back home an extract from Omega giving a production date of February 7th 1969.
Someone must know final serial number of 105.003 mine is in 26,554,xxx range, I will start a new thread and lay down a challenge of “who has the latest 105.003 serial number, which should be good fun.

Now that the extracts are up to $800 I doubt I'd ever use the service again.

You need to be a bit careful with serial numbers and really need an Extract to confirm exact dates. Taddyangle and I have 65 Speedmasters that were produced one day apart but are over 400,000 apart in movement number.

I guess you are talking about the certificate of authenticity and not the extract of archives (cost of 120 CHF for many years now)
