I was reading a post about a ref. 105.002-62 with baton hands published recently.
A few questions arose.
Unfortunately, before I bought my 105.002-62 from 1964 as documented on the abstract, during a service at Omega they changed the hands, the crown, the crystal and put a brand new band on it.

For this rare dial/hands configuration the serial number should be 20.520.XXX as stated on the MWO book:

Furthermore I noted that the "SWISS MADE" writing should be closer to the minute markers on this specification:

otherwise it should have the leaf hands mounted!?

In the meanwhile I found an original vintage crystal, an original A1 crown and a band with the right reference and date + #6 end links.
I already changed the crown, by myself, but now I send the watch to my watch maker for a complete overhaul of the watch:

Could eventually the owner of this rare Speedmaster share the movement number, a picture of the case back's inside and show what type of hands are mounted.

Cheers

Also worth noting: those second ticks do not come right up to the step. For 2998/105002, they do, and from 105003/105012 they do no longer…with some exceptions being that very few 105003-63s did get 105002 dials…perhaps it worked the other way round on the tail end of 105002s produced, but i cant say I have seen that yet (disclaimer : i am no expert and there is a lot i havent seen).

I believe the dial shown above is a “High Swiss” variety.
Seldom seen. Most 105.002-62 do not have this particular dial.
Here is a pic of 105.002-62 “twins” for reference.

Nice watches indeed.
Could you share the movement's serial of them.
MWO states that the 105.002-62 with baton hands should have a movement # 20.520.XXX.

Thank you

A question remains unanswered: How many were built with this specs?

I have noted a few ‘high Swiss’ dials with minute markers that don’t reach the step on 105.002’s. Definitely rare though.

My baton hands 105.002-62 from 64 is 20.520.2XX

Nice watch, looks to be a close relative to mine 20.520.2XX
Furthermore the dial is a "high" Swiss Made one, like described on the MWO book.

Cheers
