in 1976 the famous Concorde jet did its first flight.
On board, Omega provided ll time equipment....
So would 2016 be the Speedie Concorde year ?

It's a band wagon Omega have not exploited. I hope this thread has not given an idea. Then again, it might be nice for them to move on from space travel.

Yep, send that down to Heinrich in production (fresh from our Australian design bureau) - tell him we want 2500 of that, and also tell him to make sure the sticker goes on straight and does not come off to catch the minute hand

Maybe a year to re-issue the flightmaster?

Although making an LE Speedmaster is probably more cost effective for them right?

I can't remember where I heard it, but someone is apparently attempting to re-establish a Concorde Services, somewhere in the world. Might be just scuttlebutt or course and never likely to happen, but its a interesting thought. I wonder if there is a rumour like this every year, on or about April 1. Never the less, a Speedie Concorde made partially from Aviation Aluminium or Ti could be a reasonable proposition.

Hello! That's exactly why I selected the name - specifically, it's the first Concorde I flew on :)

I never flew on a Concorde. But a few years ago, on a trip to England, we visited the museum at Duxford, and they have a Concorde there. By then, the Concorde had been taken out of service, world wide. This one never saw regulat airline service. It was loaded with all sorts of test equipment. I could have spent a week at Duxford! Unfortunately, only had two hours!
